The search service can find package by either name (apache), provides(webserver), absolute file names (/usr/bin/apache), binaries (gprof) or shared libraries (libXm.so.2) in standard path. It does not support multiple arguments yet...
The System and Arch are optional added filters, for example System could be "redhat", "redhat-7.2", "mandrake" or "gnome", Arch could be "i386" or "src", etc. depending on your system.
The emu-tools are used to control emu10k1 based (SBLive) and Audigy based soundcards from Creative Labs. The emu-config program is used to configure such things as output speaker mode (digital/analog), spdif sample rate, etc. The emu-dspmgr program is used to control how signals are routed inside the emu10k1 and Audigy chips. It can also be used to load effects, add volume controls and much more. The emu-tools currently are intended for use with kernel's 2.4.12 or higher. They will not work with the Alsa driver.
